I'm back! For those of you that did not know, my close friend Angie and I started the website SportsChick.net a few years ago, and found that running a web site, along with a full time job and raising our boys became too hectic. It was a great experience, and we learned a lot!
So what am I doing here now? Just wanted a place to share my feelings on sports (of course), motherhood, cooking, and just life in general. I cannot promise that I will post daily,,,,but with the amount of sports that I watch --- I always have an opinion. My opinion's may not jive with yours, but I promise I will have one. I will try not to get too political, as my political views are not real popular these days, but sometimes I may slip, sorry! As you probably can tell I am a gun toting republican. With that said, I am now going to share my take on Superbowl 47!
I always know what Superbowl is approaching, as the Superbowl number coincides with the age I will be turning that year. Yes, I will be 47 in April. Ok, with that said, what did I think of Superbowl 47? Strange comes to mind. Very strange. The first half almost put me to sleep, and I was routing for the Ravens! The half time show was not my thing. Nothing against Beyonce, she's a lovely girl and a fine performer,,,,but CMON MAN! This is football, not Vegas. I want Rock and Roll, or something more sports related. Moving forward, the second half woke me up. After the Ravens had the touch town return, I thought this is OVER. I actually felt bad for the 49ers, and I am NOT a 9er fan...will talk about that later. Then there was the power outage....hmmm interesting, the last power outage I witnessed in an NFL game also included the 9ers?? How ironic! Of course the Facebook comments started pouring in to the run of, "The Obama administration is probably blaming George Bush". I have to admit that was pretty funny, and I could not believe how many of those I was seeing. I had a gut feeling that this outage would derail the momentum of the Ravens,,,and guess what? I was right! You canargue that both teams had to experience the outage...........true; however, the Ravens had it, game over, good night now! The break gave the 9ers a chance to re-group and re-strategize. It's almost like they were released from a choke hold, and given a second chance on life. Sure enough, we saw a ball game. Here comes Colin Kaepernick! The Ravens were deflated, their energy surge was gone. We all know how it ended though.
To sum this up, the 9er fans are all blaming their (almost) historic comeback on a bad call in the fourth quarter, however, that ball was not even catchable, it was out of bounds. They need to come to the realization that their team CHOKED for almost 3 quarters!!!! If it were not for the power outage, it would have been a blow out. Be thankfull ! I wish the Chargers would had that power outage advantage back in the 1994 Superbowl when the 9ers were kickin' our a** ! Ok, now you see why I not a 9er fan.
I am done ranting for today! The post season football withdrawels have now started, but Daytona is in a few weeks and I'll be talking about that very SOON!
